Preliminary Programme
Sponsered by:
The objective of the workshop is to provide an international forum for discussing recent research and development achievements in the field of cryogenic radiation and particle detectors.
This is the eighth in a series of biannual meetings, bringing together the communities of people working on applications in the fields of dark matter research, neutrino physics, X-ray astrophysics and to some extent infrared/sub-mm astronomy.
The main topics, addressed by the workshop are:
The conference fee includes
The fee when registering before 15 July is NLG 650.00, the fee for registering after this date is NLG 750.00. The date on which the ESTEC Conference Bureau receives your registration form will be considered as the date of registration.
For the hotel reservation, there are two types of rooms: rooms with shower/toilet and simpler rooms with shower/toilet on the corridor. There is also a possibility to camp on the camp site of the Conference Centre. Please note that there is no tent or caravan available. On the hotel reservation form, please mention if you have any dietary requests.
The registration form and hotel reservation form should be returned before 15 July 1999.
Written confirmation of your cancellation should be sent to ESTEC Conference Bureau. If you cancel your reservation before 8 August 1999, we will charge a NLG 75.00 administration fee per registration. The date on which ESTEC Conference Bureau receives your written confirmation of cancellation will be considered the date of cancellation. Reimbursements will be dealt with after the workshop.
There are three organised social events (included in the conference fee)
Conference Centre 'de Bron' is located in a rural area with opportunities for hiking, biking and swimming. The rent of a bike is NLG 8.00 per day and the rent of a canoe is NLG 25.00 per day.
The papers will be published in a special issue of Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research (Section A). The instructions for the preparation of the papers has been distributed to all contact authors. Please note that the maximum length of an invited paper is 5 pages, for a contributed presentation (oral or poster) the maximum length is 3 pages. The reviewing process will take place during the workshop, so three hard copies should be brought to the workshop and handed over to the hostess at the registration desk.
Information regarding the instructions can be obtained from the ESTEC Conference Bureau.
Dalfsen is accessible by car and by train. A taxi from Dalfsen railway station to the Conference Centre will cost approximately NLG 25.00. If you arrive on Sunday 15 August, there will be a free bus shuttle arranged by the Conference Centre from Dalfsen railway station to the Conference Centre.
