3 May 2006: The workshop was held successfully last week in a very open and cooperative atmosphere, continuing the tradition set by the previous editions. CSTB did a marvellous job as the local host.
NOTE: The presentations given at the workshop are now available for download, linked from the
FINAL PROGRAMME page.
You are invited to participate in the 8th NASA-ESA Product Data Exchange (PDE) Workshop, which is jointly organized by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the European Space Agency (ESA), an international advisory panel, and the local host.
This year the workshop is hosted by the CSTB (Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bātiment, the French national science and technology centre for building and construction).
This event is preceded by seven highly successful annual workshops, alternating between the US and Europe. Over the years the workshop name has evolved to reflect enhanced community understanding and interests regarding problem scope and promising solutions. Yet the core theme has remained the same: Open standards to represent, manage and share information and knowledge for enhanced model interoperability throughout the product/system lifecycle.
The program will be similar to previous PDE workshops: an opening evening reception followed by three days of presentations, plenary keynotes and discussions, networking opportunities, and "birds of a feather" meetings.
Further information on keynotes, special sessions, and the programme will be made available in due course.
